Community Living.

Before I post of series of thoughts on “community” I must cease my individual limitations of understanding and compose posts with those who hope to be in the communal process of collaborative thought. Rather than adhering to my presuppositions and personal bias I hope to gather input on two fundamental questions:

1) What is community? and (if your thought here is distinguishable from the first question);

2) What does it mean to “live in community?”

    Deacon: Community is being a good buzzard to your felllow buzzard even if you don’t like the skunk roadkill he offers you.

    Usher: Community is knowing you’re a buzzard and not trying to be a hawk!

    Deacon: Community is lettin’ dirty birds hang out in your tree

    Usher: That’s goin’ a little far Deak ;(

    Deacon: Shut your beak Usher and be nice!

    I think it is realizing your dependency on those around you and acting accordingly and also willingly and intentionally allowing yourself to be dependent on other people and allowing yourself to be someone who others can be dependent.

    1) Community is the association of like-minded beings in the attempt to embody a single entity. It is about being as close as possible, sharing everything, giving everything, and being one. It is about unity. Clarity. Charity. Thinking with one mind and loving others as yourself.

    2) Living in community is a lifestyle in which you (the liver in community) openly live and think as a group. No decision is made without the correspondence of the rest of the community, for you are of one body and mind. To live in community is to seek Unconditional Love. The desire to love another so much that you would give freely of yourself to any and every member of that community, seeking no return for your offering.
